Our Foundation Dermal Fillers course is an intensive course in the administration and maintenance of dermal fillers in the lip and oral area of the face. The course is complete with in depth anatomy of the face and head, comprehensive training in dermal filler complications and how to resolve them, CPR and Clinical Skills, dermal filler dissolving and lip filler care protocols.
The treatment areas in this course covers the lips, nose to mouth lines and marionette lines and is the only course in the UK approved by insurers to offer usage of cannula for dermal fillers at a foundation level.
To enrol on this course, you must have at least one of the following experience levels
Learn the location and function of the facial muscles, The orientation of facial blood vessels with a focus on those that must be avoided during filler treatments, and the location of key nerves.

Cover the important skills required when working in a clinical environment such as hygiene standards and aseptic non touch technique. Also cover how to treat a fainting client, when it is appropriate to perform CPR and how to do so

Cover all the complications that could occur as a result of dermal fillers and how to correctly resolve them, including vascular occlusion. Discover the severity rating of each complication and the likely hood of an occurance

Cover how to correctly and safely dissolve dermal filler, both voluntarily and in an emergency, including completion of a patch test and guidance on when the lips can be re-treated.

Discuss the brands and strengths of dermal fillers available, and how to consult with your clients to select the most appropriate product

Complete a xxx treatment on a live model, conducting a patch test, consultation, treatment and aftercare protocol with your client.
Practical Workshop
Day 2 of your training is entirely practical based, after a quick refresh of your knowledge you will work as if having an open clinic completing a number of dermal filler treatments. You will have models for lip fillers, nose to mouth correction and marionet line reduction. Each treatment will be fully demonstrated before you complete the treatment, and you will be under the guidance of the tutor the entire time.
