Lidocaine is a form of local anaesthetic, used to numb an area of the body before medical or cosmetic procedures. Lidocaine is commonly used topically to reduce the pain of filler treatments and is also often infused into dermal filler products for similar anaesthetic effects.
Whereas topical creams such as ‘Emla’ will provide relief from pain, it only affects the surface tissues and some pain is still felt. When injected correctly, Lidocaine will cause the target tissues to become completely numb leading to a pain free lip filler procedure, great for your more sensitive or nervous clients.
To undergo this training you must have previously completed and received certification in foundation dermal fillers or lip fillers.
